I am contacting you from the USA. I wonder how or if the younger generations keep in touch with any past family that migrated to US many years ago?
I am not Chinese but I am very interested in cultures and history. I often read about how Chinese migrated into the San Francisco Bay of California over a hundred years ago. The Chinese people should always be very proud of their contributions to the USA. They were the very helpful in building the railroads in California in the 1800's. You can find many books that detail of the struggles and describe modern Chinatown in San Francisco and old Chinatown. The population of Chinese-Americans is steadily growing here in Texas. I must admit I love the food. It's my favorite! ![]()

For now ,if they have the contact informations, they will.
And some of the Chinese-American like to go back to have a visite and do some contribution,if they have that money. For honour his family. In China it`s called back home with glory. There many people from Fujian and Guangdong Province went to US many years ago. |

Would you say that Hong Kong is the most modern and beautiful city in China or is it more exaggeration?
When I see pictures and websites they always show the new sections of Office buildings and Hotel resorts. Then we hear of the over crowding and pollution. Is it really that bad? I admit I am in love with the food and almost everything about the culture, art, etc. Now I am getting hungry for Dim Sum. Ja ja ![]()

Actually ,I haven`t been to Hongkong before. But I was in Shenzhen where just one hour driving to Hongkong for half years.
It is very moden and beautiful. The truth is It is very crowding. The pollution is not so bad. you will never get all the idear of one place unless you go there. Everyone has his own opinion about one thing. I am quit sure the Chinese food in US will be different compare the food in China. And many Chinese food will never fit for western people, such as inside part of animal, chicken claw, snake .But native Chinese love them. |
