ThreeFrenchHens is an unknown character at this point

This is a maker's mark on an antique tea set. Would someone be able to translate this? My guess (and it's only a guess) is that this is either Chinese or Japanese.
Any help would be so greatly appreciated! Translation, please!!! sur Flickr*: partage de photos*! |

Hi there,
I am sure that the four characters are Chinese, but the one at the bottom doesn't seem to make sense, it's a bit blur, i cannot recognize it, and the other three are just hard to tell the exact meaning. To me, it's, i guess, kind of like the trademark of a manufacturer, is the tea set a wooden one?
