I was thinking that you might want the conformation from the others, but it seems that not that many Chinese natives here in the forum.
Anyway, I would say the complete sentence is 约尔,你是我珍爱的天使。= Joel, you are my cherished angel. Well, the same as in English, I guess, you can omit "you are" here; therefore, I propose 约尔,我珍爱的天使 = Joel, my cherished angel but it is just a phrase not a complete sentence, so you don't really need the full stop in the end. For the comma, I would not choose to omit it. As that of the English version, "Joel my cherished angel" seems awkward to me. Another possibility is 约尔是我珍爱的天使。 = Joel is my cherished angel. This is a complete sentence; however, it's more like you are telling someone the fact, which to me does not really express the feelings... Last edited by Gabrielle33; 10-08-2009 at 06:50 AM. |
