Hello everyone!
It would be really interesting to learn what do you think about contemporary novels/short stories, whether you read them or not? Is there anything brand new written by English-speaking authors? What would you recommend me to read?May be you'll give me some links? |

Well, now I can recall only two examples:
1)John Irving "Trying to Save Piggy Sneed" - not new but good, I guess... 2)Donald Barthelme " Forty stories " - maybe it's not brand new publication (1987), but...worth reading 3)All short ( and long ) works by Julio Cortazar - you must read it!!! Yes, there are many people who likes to read short stories. Myself, I don't have anything against...Even if I rather like those old and long ones... |

Oh, I've read these things also. But the reason why I asked this question is because I need a brand new untranslated English/German story for my paper work at uni. Can't find nothing at the moment. Even have no idea with the authors... Could anyone help me?

I do not know much about English literature and new authors, but here is a link toward new books: Amazon.com: "GREAT NEW NOVELS FROM NEW AUTHORS! SUPERB!"
Hope it helps ![]()
