Hi once again Loconnor
![]() Well as a french native I can say for sure that "présent" is a common used word! Though not as used as "cadeau" it still remains one of its synonym. I would say that présent is a more "polite" word, to be used toward people you don't meet everyday or you want to show any special respect. Concerning the italian I know that "presento" is also an existing word but I guess I will wait for an italian native explanation to confirm its real meaning . |

Hi Loconnor
yes, in italian "presente" exists and means exactly "présent" (in french), the italian word comes from te french one. you can see for instance this page: http://www.sapere.it/gr/ArticleViewS...odo=LinkToFree It's not often used, but in that case it's better becuse it's particularly used in formal situations. "la ditta ha omaggiato tutti i dirigenti di un piccolo presente" bye, Anna. |
