I could use translation help with this Italian phrase

Does anyone know the meaning of this phrase in Italian: "il atto viene secretato"? Many thanks in advance for any help.

Hello,

"Secretare un atto", means that the "the document will remain secret".

I hope that you will understand the explanation, in any case I will ask the FD to confirm my english.

Shouldn't it be l'atto, not il atto??

Pantelleria it is very good but I`d just make a small correction : "The document will remain in secret".

Allora...se capisco bene -" secretare" viene della parola "segreto " ed è usata in documenti?

Yes, I came across it a few times in documents, and I wasn't sure if it was related to "segreto" or "segretario".
