Hello,
I was wondering, if someone could describe what an American accent sounds like in Hungarian. Which aspects of the language seem to be the hardest for us Americans to grasp, and that sort of thing. Do we have a distinctive speech pattern, or do a lot of Hungarians confuse us for...say...British or Australian people? Anything on the topic would be helpful; I just started teaching myself Hungarian about a month or so ago, but it's from reading from a book, so I'm kind of afraid I'll have a really bizarre accent or something...so, I want to gather some general information about it all ![]() (oh, and P.S. is the 'g' in the gy combination pronounced? I pronounce it when saying things like gyümölcs, but not in words like magyarul. Is that right?) ![]() |
