Practically the song is something like an autobiography.He was born in a very poor family, his life was not easy at all. Many times he "got down" but (like the proudness and strength of an eagle) he was getting up on his feet again. He was dreaming to take his family out of the state they where leaving in(dreaming how it would be), but he trusted people that many times betrayed him (and wounded him). He was hurt but no one stood by him,understanding him (sharing his wounds/ caring about his wounds). Celebrate the day of his death when he is still alive because that would be the day that all his struggles and efforts to do something good for him and his family will end. He wrote this song in a pretty bad period of his life. He helps a lot of people in need (not making it public) and during that period people accused him of using heroin and mistreating his family(wife and children). Accusations that so far were not proved by anyone.

And a veeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeery good choice as a song.

sorry pal but the commentary GIGI gave you is totally false, unfortunately most people do not know that the song "Genethlia" was not written by Sfakianakis, the original artist is Stelios Mpikakis, and its from his Cd "H fygi". Mpikakis wrote this song after the death of his son. once again sorry GIGI but u got it all wrong, but i do agree it is a very good song.
