Hi, this is your Alice : )
This year I have some strange exercises at university. Now I have to write about computers and ecologie. And I have no idea. I was looking for in web and arround me, but I have no inspiration. So I've decided to ask you : ) Some opinions or impressions would be appreciated. Maybe I could find some way thanks to you.

hmmm tu pourrais par exemple discuter du coût de production du papier versus celui d'un ordinateur, sachant par exemple que:

- les ordinateurs peuvent économiser du papier, et donc freiner la déforestation (quoiqu'il me semble que la principale cause de déforestation ne soit pas la production de papier, mais plutôt de se procurer plus de terres rentables pour l'économie).
- la fabrication de l'électronique d'un ordinateur, ecran, composants... demande la manipulation de poduits chimiques parfois dangereux, quels coût pour l'écologie?

- par conséquent quels serait le rapport idéal entre ordinateur et papier pour les taches simples et courantes dans le monde? en est on actuellement loin?... quoi pour améliorer ce rapport?

voilà, quelques idées qui me viennent comme ça, non exhaustives bien sûr il y en a surement plein d'autres.

Merci, je pensais exactemment de la meme chose, mais malheureusement ce sujet m'interesse pas beaucoup et je sais pas comment commencer meme. En plus je cherche du forme pas du tout conventionnelle pour mettre des choses tres convientionelles dedans. J'ai un termin de 12 avril, j'espere que je vais reussir Si qqn a encore qqs idees, ca va me bien sur aider

Tu pourrais peut-être aussi adopter un autre point de vue, en faisant le parallèle entre l'écologie, qui est quand même un mouvement plutôt récent, et son développement via internet : site, blogs, pétitions, transfert et communication d'infos... En France, les Verts ont assez vite su tirer parti de ce nouveau moyen de communication et les organisations écologiques, comme Greenpeace ou WWF fonctionnent beaucoup grâce à ça.

Mais enfin, c'est assez loin de ce que FD proposait et je ne sais pas de quelle manière on s'attend à ce que tu traites le sujet...

Some opinions, added to those suggested by FD:

Discarding computer components endangers the ecology, since many of them are undisintegratable and can't be recycled, and need to undergo special treatment before discarding, but in undeveloped countries, they're just discarded in rubbish piles. In poorer districts in developing countries, people make their living by collecting this kind of electronic rubbish, and even burn them, causing toxic air all over the town.

I think this is one of examples,

Computer machine has many toxic parts such as ICs and boards inside.
Chemical materials are generally used when producing ICs.
I heard that there's a possibility the ground absorbs the toxic substances from the piled and discarded computeres so that they affect the environment.
