What you said about flemish is correct.

So, about Finnish again, then ?

Finnish has 15 cases.

Finnish is also called Suomi. (To be honest, I cheated to find this one I looked up "finnish" at Answers.com. And....Don't want to be a pain, but I now read there that finnish is based on Swedish, Latin and German. )
What they do not explain is where the name Suomi comes from. Do you know ?

Flemish again.

You don't have to write it with vocalisation, therefore it might look like Czech if you transliterate it.

Well... let's say Swiss German ow, to have some fun.

Swiss people can understand Germans but not the opposite, since Germans can't understand Swiss people easily, and that there is no genetive in Swiss german, which is a good thing

Talking Finnish is a Germanic branch

Finnish is the official language of Finland, as a north-european language, it´s like Danish, Swedish, Norwegian, since they are of the same Skandenavian family, and Russia ruled this land in 19th century, plus Russia itself also came from Europe, so the Finnish is much like Russian, despite different spelling. It´s rather interesting that during the WWII, Germany and Finland were allied to fight Russia.

But to me, I strongly support that Finnish is a Germanic language branch. That not the same to Russian.

I´m Chinese. And as Jonne knows Chinese, please explain what is your impression on Chinese and study on it?
