Hi!
I have hade the nickname znize for quite some time and when i look for the word on google i see that it comes up in polish sites... So my big question is what does it mean ( I hope that its not a bad word because i like my nick... )Can some please tell me i would be very happy :-) Maybe you wonder how i got this nick... My last name is Nilsson (a very common name in Sweden, were i live). And my friends have called me Nisse (short name for Nilsson). And then i just changed my s for z and shuffeld the word to get znize... Be very glad for answers!! / Johan (znize) |

So Nisse,
sorry to disapoint you - it is NOT a bad word. But it should be written zniżę. It means "I will lower it" ( I hope my Engilsh is comprehensive). Bye.

Hi kajtek!
I´m happy to here that it´s not a bad word, because now i can keep it ![]() But the word is it like if i have something high up and then want it down i say "I will lower it"? Is that right comprehensive? And thanks for the fast answer!! Johan |

![]() Kajtek said almost everything, I can only add a few examples because I see you are very interested in the subject of your nick ![]() Yes, your nick is similar to the verb "zniżę" but I hadn't thought that if you wouldn't have asked it. This is for polonymes, without accents this similarity becomes smaller ![]() "zniżę" is the first person sing. of the verb "zniżyć". And zniżyć is a finite of "zniżać" so quite complicate ![]() zniżać (in in dictionary) is also to descend (f.e. fly); to lower (which kaj said) for example with voice or price, to lessen; in Polish this verb is the most often used with "się" so "zniżać się". There are two cases: To descend - also with plane for example and the second, more used: to condescend (in the case f.e.: to condescend to the children)
