If the muscles around the sciatica are over contractured with no sign of relaxation even overnight, benzodiazepines are useful to get the full relaxation and are often of great help in killing pain. However, if your doc did not said so there is no use trying them you may not have any locked muscle.

I think the situation is not that bad...I only feel quite a deep pain when I sit for some time ( during the lecture, e.g), and a bit after. But beside this, I believe I just get used to this kind of a discomfortable feeling. And I cannot bend down as easy as I should...
