New to language learning

Hello,

My name is Graham and I'm from the north east of England. Recently I started study at a local university and although languages aren't a mandatory part of my course, I thought the free language lessons on offer were too good an opportunity to miss. I signed up for French and Mandarin Chinese, which I've been learning for a few weeks now.

This site seems like a great resource for learning so I hope to get involved.

P.S. I also speak some Thai, but unfortunately don't read or write it.

Well if you need any help in french or have any question concerning the language I'll be glad share my knowledge since I am french native

And I am confident you'll find out help in chinese as well, we have some native speakers in the chinese section

I've had a couple more lessons since my last post and while the French is going well, the Chinese is proving to be a big challenge. I'm going to have to put in the extra hours.

that is the language we used in our daily life
