Yes, I am another one that is interested in getting a tattoo in hebrew. I m interested in the word "pray" as in silent peaceful communication with God. Not asking for something. Not prayer but pray. Is there a difference? I have been told it is Tfila. Is that correct? I also an not sure if I do it on my wrist if I need to get it as it is read in Hebrew right to left or English left to right.
Would a Hebrew Tattoo that reads pray be alright for a Baptist? I am thinking that it would be neat since the original bible was in hebrew...or do I need to do more reseach? Can you also translate "Here I am" |

A friend has told me the following and it is different than what others are telling me. I am hearing so many different words and do know if they all have slightly different meanings?
lehitpalel means to worship Tefillah or Tfila means "pray" תפילה תפלה I have also seen this without the little ' in the middle I have been told the word in Hebrew is simply 'le-hitpalel' (that means 'to pray') or, for a female saying "I'm praying" - 'ani mitpalelet'. le-hitpalel' להתפלל ani mitpalelet' אני מתפללת There seem to be many different ways to say this, or meanings that are slightly differnt? Can you help clear this up? |
