Doonay, If you're looking for a translation for a tattoo in either Hebrew or Aramaic, you're going to find that most of the people who know enough about the language to translate it for you, are going to object to your using the translation for a tattoo because of the Old Testament prohibition. The people with the fewest objections to using a translation for that purpose, tend to be scholars at universities (a large percentage of them are secular or hard to define), but they also have next to no interest in helping someone get a translation, they're in it for the scholarly work. You can find translators who won't care and, in the end, it is your conscience and your religious beliefs. I would personally respect Beky4's wish not to use her translation for a tattoo. There's something exceptionally wrong about taking someone's good will in doing you a favor and turning around to use it to violate their principles, especially when you have many other options.

Nayla Caruso:
I am not here to upset people. If that was their wish, please make it that they do not write to the request. Yes it is up to me what I do, I agree. I Didnt explain myself fully, to which A tattoo me is a drawn out markings to put on a canvas. So I wont be 'violating' anyone anytime soon. |
