Translate english name to persian please!!!
I find the persian script very beautiful and want to get a tattoo with my daughters name in persian , but i need it translated in the script. The name is Soleil Lourdes i know the name is not persian but someone please help! I would also like to know how to pronounce the name in persian.
How is persian script read? canit be written vertically? I want the tattoo starting at the top of the back of my neck going down my spine. If its written vertically would it make sense? Thanks! Last edited by sol2006; 01-11-2008 at 06:45 PM. |

Hello and welcome,
I am glad to help. So, the name is "soleil lourdes"... is the "s" at the end pronounced? Persian script is written and read from right to left. Persian alphabets have different forms depending on their position in the word, They can be written separately from up to down But It wouldn't be very convenient. Instead you can have them rotated at an angle of 90 instead of writing each character separately.

Ok i see! I think i'll jsut have to leave it horizontally and it read from left to right it looks bettert that way. Can you translate the whole name (Soleil Lourdes) for me Thank you, you've been great help!
