Can someone write "For a better world" in a Farsi font for me, please? And can someone else maybe confirm it for me afterwards? Just so I can make sure I don't paste anything funny. I'll give you +rep.
Thanks in advance, Nozomi Last edited by xNozomi; 12-24-2007 at 10:09 PM. |

Thank you very much for the translation and the welcome. Gave you the rep point.
Farsi is not an English word but Persian is no longer the name of our language, if I recall correctly? |

oh, are you Persian too? then, If you don't mind my saying so you don't recall correctly, Persian was and is the correct name of our language. If we keep calling "Persian" farsi, after sometime no one even remembers that Persians were and are the owner of one the richest culture and history. NO, we can't let that happen.

Ah, I see where you're coming from. Yes, I am Persian/Iranian as well.
I actually did some research on this and now I see that you're right. I figured that the "official" term was Farsi now that the country is named Iran and not Persia anymore. But both terms are correct and in English Persian even more than Farsi. Last edited by xNozomi; 12-27-2007 at 08:50 PM. |

I am glad that you have realized the truth. The Official term for Our language in english is "Persian". All the names of our language are derived from the Persian word "Parsi", For example "Persisch" In german, "Persan" In French, Persidskyi In Russian etc.... by the way, If you go to Google settings you will only see Parsi, Persian, Persisch, Persan, persidskyi. No farsi in any languages....
