This is a transliteration of the name in many non-Arabic, non-Persian languages but it is NOT English either, since in English the name is pronounced as Jay-cob.
If I had persian letters, it would be "jeem yeh kaf beh"

hello,
thank you for the comment on pronunciation but you know that some of the transliteration are not according to the original one, for example this name in german or russian is written with a "Ia" too.
and about the translation, I wouldn't write it that way in Persian, with those letters you mentioned....
