from the guardian, the 17th February (yes..it's not new!!)
"American soldiers traumatised by fighting in Iraq and Afghanistan are to be offered the drug ecstasy to help free them of flashbacks and recurring nightmares. The US food and drug administration has given the go-ahead for the soldiers to be included in an experiment to see if MDMA, the active ingredient in ecstasy, can treat post-traumatic stress disorder." |

Hi! Drugs for US troops? I didn't read anything about this, but I trust you guys!
Its very surprising that The US Governement allowed this behaviour. Drug is against the law...hummm.Stop me if I made a mistake. Moreover ecstasy is not a soft drug. I think It's very dangerous for the Soldiers to eat these pills, they probably being addicted. Us troops will certainly be less efficient: stress,violence,riots,illness... I read a book written by Eric Laurent ( a big famous french journalist), he explains that during the war in Afghanistan in 1979, the russians troops were less efficient because they used to take more and more heroine. We have this dirty example and US Governement should be very attentive about this. |

Nothing new under the sun. It's a known fact that soldiers were given special drugs to stay awake longer during the gulf war. It is also said that experimental drugs were used. The gulf war syndrome might come from these, or from depleted uranium shells.
P.S: MDMA is one of those drugs derived from psychiatric experiments.
