My attempt at colloquial spanish translation!
Hi guys, I have been working on translating this colloquial spanish to English and have given it a try, how close am I?? Any help would be really reallyappreciated, thanks v much
 Original Spanish: Yo no soy mucho de comentar cosas de la vida privada (ni mia ni de nadie), pero procedía decirle que era tu chico, espero que no te siente mal. My attempt at translation:I am not one to discuss private things (not me or of anyone), but I said that he was your boyfriend, I hope I have done nothing wrong?? Lo digo por si te hace algún comentario de que le conoce, que sepas que se lo dije yo. I say this because someone you know might say something?? Por cierto, dijo que te pegaba mucho, y que de hecho os parecías fisicamente!!!! qué cosas!!! By the way , he said that he was with youbut in fact you said it was 'fisacamente'!!! Its enough! BASTA!!!! que me lio a hablar y no paro!!! Stop!.... Has visto a super héroe? qué ganas de hablar con él!! Have you seen a super hero? Do you want to speak to him? I know my translation won't be perfect, but I believe you'll understand those sentences, quite bad-formed in spanish, by the way:
Yo no soy mucho de comentar cosas de la vida privada (ni mia ni de nadie), pero procedía decirle que era tu chico, espero que no te siente mal. I'm not one of those who like to talk about private lifes (not mine or others') but I thought it was necessary to tell him he was your boyfriend. I hope I haven't done anything wrong. Lo digo por si te hace algún comentario de que le conoce, que sepas que se lo dije yo. I tell you this because if he/she comments you that he/she knows him, you must know it was me who said it to him/her. Por cierto, dijo [que te pegaba mucho], y que de hecho os parecías fisicamente!!!! qué cosas!!! By the way, he/she said that you formed a good couple and that in fact you both looked alike physically!!!! How funny!!! BASTA!!!! que me lio a hablar y no paro!!! ENOUGH!!! I just keep on talking and I can't stop myself!!! Has visto a super héroe? qué ganas de hablar con él!! Have you seen superhero? How I wish to talk to him!! |
