As you know, my daughter Courtney is in the Air Force and she is assigned to an air force base in Idaho. Soon after the new year, she is going to be deployed to an island in the South Pacific for about 4 months. She is very lucky that she isn't being sent to Iraq or Afganistan.
But she may have a problem finding someone to keep the cats while she is gone. She may have to bring them back to me. I know you don't really care much for the cats, but I have great affection for them, and I could not let them go to strangers who may not take care of them properly. I feel a responsibility to take them if she can't make other arrangements.
If she has to bring them back, she will take some vacation time around Christmas and drive back here with them, so I won't have to meet her halfway again.
I hope you will understand and try not to be too bothered by them. After all, I've known them a lot longer than I have known you!
