Sir:
Thank you for your Sanskrit course. It will be very helpful to me. But I still have several questions regarding the writing of the script. In the book “Coulson, Michael. Sanskrit : an introduction to the classical language.”, the professor said that the Nagari script should be written “bottom to top, and left to right” if you are right-handed, and “top to bottom, and right to left” if you are left-handed. I was trying to follow this book and practice; however I see you suggested a different way of writing. Personally I do feel yours are more natural to me. Can you explain why you and the professor of that book suggested different ways of writing? I have another question about writing the big horizontal bar: someone said that I should write the “essential parts” of all the letters in one word first, and finally draw a big horizontal bar across every letters in one word. If I write the horizontal bar of each letter separately, not only will I spend more time on writing, but also the final hand-writing is ugly. Is this the correct way of writing? Thank you for listening to me.
