I am going to japan with a group, and because i have been learning japanese this past year, i have been nominated to give a small speech at the end of a performance. So how do you say,
"Thank you for coming to our performance, we hope you enjoyed it. Have a good rest of your day." In romaji or hiragana/katakana please, no kanji. Also if you have any suggestions about what to add, tell me the english and japanese. Arigatoo! |

Hi there!
It would depend on what kind of performance you are giving. If the group is doing a musical performance you could use "konsa-to" (concert) but if it's a play or skit, you could just use "sho-" (show). "ensoukai" or "engeki" might sound a bit boastful coming from the performers, so I'd steer clear of them. Anyway, here's what I came up with.. Honjitsu, watashitachi no sho- o mi ni kite kurete arigatou gozaimashita. "Thankyou for coming to (see) our performance (today)." Tanoshinde itadaketa koto to omoimasu. "We hope you enjoyed it." Owasuremono ni wa, oki otsukete okaeri kudasai. "Take care not to forget anything and go home." ("We hope you enjoyed it" and "Have a good rest of the day" don't translate literally into Japanese very well, unfortunately.) Good luck with it!
