Hiya

I am looking for a pet name and would like to know how to say Air or ground in Japanese please.

Air is 空気, but this is too concrete expression so I think just 気 is also OK.
Ground is 地

and 地　is chi

what are you going to do with them?

Thanks. I thought Ki meant "lifeforce"?

気　has various meanings widely.
lifeforce is one of them.

Sorry I just told you that 気 is also OK but I thought..
空気 could be heard like saying air as O2.
