Family motto into Japanese?
Hi all,
I would like to see if anyone could translate my family motto into Japanese. The phrase is: I would rather die than change Thank you

Possibility
Its kind of hard to give a phrase like that the same forcefulness in Japanese that is has in English. There are a lot of ways to say it literally, but I don`t think they have the right feeling. You could say 俺は死ぬまで変わらない which means ‘‘I won`t change until my death‘‘. The ‘‘I‘‘ I used is the masculine 俺 , for a girl you may want to change it to 私. I think that will be about the same, but I am not a native so I can`t tell for sure what the full implication is.
