Anybody familiar with the Japanese word "bake?" The usage I have is "bakeneko," which I gather is some kind of mythical cat thingy.
Thanks LR |

Hi,
'bake' is the stem of the verb 'bakeru' (化ける) which means '"to take a different form/be in disguise", or "to go bad/become corrupted", so a 'bakeneko' (化け猫) is like a monster cat -- either through changing form (probably not in a good way), or by being generally evil^^ |
