Exclamation Translating Japanese magazine scans, PLEASE?

I've hit a payload of Kenichi Matsuyama pics/info, too bad I can't read any of it...yet. I'm basically asking for someone to translate all of the magazine scans in this gallery into English for me. I hope to post the translations (with links to the original pics) onto some English-speaking fansites I know, and I WILL CREDIT YOU for the translations.

Gallery with scans:
Matsuyama, Kenichi: photos, posters, images, pictures @ Asian Movies Gallery

Default Thrown down gauntlet

Alright I like a challenge. You better credit the hell out of me for this. I will translate them one by one for you and post them on here. I can`t say how long it will take, this is a lot of writing, but it doesn`t seem like particularly difficult language. Here is the first one (Jan 2009, TV Pia, 01 lq).

Quote:
Title
Matsuyama Kenichi: The role of Fuutarou Gumagouri, a young man with a troubled past who commits crimes for money.

Main Body
When I first read the original work, I was shocked by the character Fuutarou Gumagouri. I really felt that Fuutarou was searching for something. The original work depicts murder and rape, so it is certainly going to be a challenging story to portray. Then again this is certainly not the only program that has to deal with the problem of what can and cannot be shown in Movies and on TV shows. When making an original story like this we have to worry about things like how much can we change, when do we have to stray from the source material and what parts do we have to show; but that’s what makes it fun. But you don`t want to give up on the parts that you can`t show on TV. If you give up on those things, then you wonder if you are losing the meaning of the original work. Therefore you really want to keep as close to the source as possible.

I think the correct definition of good and evil is something that no one can decide. There are times when Fuutarou seems like an evil person and times when he seems like a good person. Trying to portray all the different shades to Fuutarou`s character is what makes this role very interesting to me, and that’s what really motivates me.

Fuutarou has a mark in his left eye, so I have had to get some special makeup done for that. So for the entire time we are shooting the movie I have to spend a lot of time getting the makeup put on. My biggest concern for this film is about how that is going to cut into my sleeping time (laughs).

Band of Text
I want to portray all the faces of Fuutarou

Translator`s Note: I chose to use Fuutarou for 風太郎. Another possible reading is Kazetarou. I haven`t seen the show, so I am not sure which is correct.

Here`s another one (GYAO, July 2007, 10). I only did the main text. The two boxes at the bottom are just descriptions of a couple shows he was in, I figured you probably already knew about them.

Quote:
Vertical Bold Text
When the messages overflow, maybe I will express something.

Main Body
Q: So I am sure you are exposed to many diverse things while making all of your projects, but what did you take away from this one in particular?
A: The most important thing was that I really gained an interest in animals. Also, this time, it was really important for me to follow the director’s instructions exactly. So that was something I had to learn.

Q: When you are doing a project, and you have an idea, are there times when you really voice your opinion?
A: Yeah there are times I do, but there are also times I don`t at all. I try to adhere to the director`s style.

Q: Well which style do you like?
A: I don`t really think about it as a like or dislike. I think that if I, myself, can do the things that are being demanded from me, that is for the best.

Q: Thinking the other way around, do you want to maybe try directing at some point? Is that desire burning within you? Even if not movies, do you write poetry, or paint? Any artistic desires like that?
A: If the messages I would like to express boil over within me, I think I will naturally want to make something. However, at present, I still wonder whether or not the ideas within me have the depth necessary to engage a lot of people. That’s a hard question, I think.

Q: When the messages do overflow, how do you think you`ll want to express them?
A: I still don`t know what form it will take, but I definitely have a desire to express myself. However, I think that when anyone feels that kind of desire for self-expression, I will just happened by itself.

Q: I think you are right. But you`ll have to be thinking a lot about how to reach a lot of people and how it will affect them.
A: Yes, but, almost certainly when your ideas finally do spill out, you will be alone. Of course you`ll have to meet and talk with many people in order for the ideas to fully form in your mind, but when it really comes down to it, I think expressing those ideas is something that must be done alone.

Q: If you had to score yourself as an actor right now, what would your score be?
A: That’s not really something I`ve ever thought about. (After a second thinking about it) I guess that I wouldn`t give myself any points.

Q: You don`t think you deserve any points?
A: That’s right. I wouldn`t give myself any. I don’t think I have the right to give myself any points. I think that is a right for my directors and my fans. I think if I were just to judge myself as a single, normal human being, I would want to give myself 100%.

Q: So you are working as hard as you can to earn those points?
A: I guess so.

Q: Finally, if you could just give us a few words about the message of your new project, Dolphin Blue, what would it be?
A: I think it would be the importance for humans to care about the lives of all things, not just their own. That and, no matter who you are, there is always going to be someone who can rescue you. That is what I think this movie can teach you. I really think a lot of people should go see this movie.

Horizontal Bold Text
I don`t know what shape it will take yet, but there is a desire for self-expression within me.

Default New article

Here is another one, (GYAO, July 2007, 12). I only translated up to the second little block of vertical bold text. Becuase I think what`s after that goes with the next page, which I`ll translate in a bit.

Quote:
Title
Whenever you meet him, he`s completely different.
``Dolphin Blue Fuji: One More Time into the Air.`` co-star Mitsuki Takahata talks about the true face of Kenichi Matsuyama.

Horizontal Bold Text
At first he gave off a really unapproachable aura.

Vertical Bold Text
Every time you meet him he`s different, he doesn`t have many defined characteristics.

Main Body (up to second vertical bold text)
Q: So what was your first impression of Kenichi Matsuyama?
A: Well, we first met in Okinawa. And, for some reason, he had this really unapproachable aura. (laughs) I don`t know why, normally I love talking to everyone, but with Kenichi for some reason I just didn`t know how to start things off.

Q: Then how did you finally make friends?
A: He started talking to me and, little by little, I got used to it and was able to talk to him normally.

Q: From your point of view, what kind of person is Kenichi?
A: First I want to say that this isn’t a bad thing; but he doesn`t have many defined characteristics. Every time you meet him, he seems like a different person. When I first met him he seemed really quiet and introverted. But while filming Dolphin Blue he seemed exactly like his character Kazuya; always doting on the dolphins.

Q: How does he seem lately?
A: Right now he is filming his new drama, Sexy Voice and Robo, so he seems exactly like his character Robo. From morning to night, he`s very very tense. (laughs) Its just like when he`s on television, it`s really surprising.

Q: So he is just the type of person that he is playing at the time then huh?
A: Yea I guess so. I guess you could say I still don`t really know much about the real Kenichi Matsuyama. I wonder what kind of person he is.

Q: What is your impression of him as an actor?
A: He is always very relaxed and natural. Even when the cameras are rolling, he doesn`t seem to change at all. But then when you check the playback, you can see that his performance was perfect. I thought that was so great about him.

Q: So did he give you any advice about your role?
A: No, he really isn`t the type to give advice about other peoples acting. Instead we just talked a lot about unrelated things. Like about the dolphins, ect.

Translator`s note: I chose the reading Kazuya for 一也. It can be read in different ways; so if that isn`t the name of his character in the movie, it`s my mistake.
