A couple more things before you go..lol...can I ask you for a few more translations? Its so hard to get them here in AUS.

Well I have very frequently heard about the word pranayamam in Vedic texts.
I dont wish 2 challenge u mod .but here is a small reference to the authenticity of the word pranayamam.

Well I have heard abt a technique called "deergha shvasam".which means deep breathing.So I think श्वासम् can be used for breathing.

I nearly had it tatttooed ;o)

Im open to all answers as long as I dont get somethng silly on my arm.....I just want a reminder to myself in times of stress, that I need to breathe, or practice pranayaman.

Now I think,its ultimately ur choice...I personally dont think pranayamam-प्राणायामम् and shvasam-श्वासम् are wrong.They are correct as u can find their references in many Vedic texts,which are written in pure sanskrit.
but not to say what the mod suggested is wrong.maybe pranayama and shvasah are correct 2.

I guess I will go with whatever looks the prettiest!
As long as they are pretty close to being correct, I just didnt want something that later on down the track, an indian reads it and says it says something silly.
But I really do appreacaite the time you guys have taken to work this out for me.

I have doubly verified.
प्राणायामः & श्वासः are the correct forms.
Here is the dictionary meaning of प्राणायाम :
Restraining or suspending the breath during mental recitation
of the names or attributes of a deity.

To avoid all the confusion, you may simply use
the root forms of the words without any grammatical suffix
i.e. प्राणायाम & श्वास
