This might sound stupid, but why does some Sankrit have the "line" over each word and some don't? What's the difference?

The picture you posted also has letters with horizontal line above them. Only that the indivisual letters are separated. The line is put over the words to group the letters of the word & is a characteristic of languages using Devanagari script i.e. Sanskrit, Hindi, Marathi & Nepali

hope
love

i have been wathched in the dictionary all thees words and find a lot of meaning....whats the difference??? and which one will be more usefull and right???
