Hi,
I'm thinking about getting the word Satya tattooed on to my wrist, but since it'll be for life (!) am hoping to get some advice on the translation. I've heard that this word translates to 'truth' but is it a direct translation to 'truth'? I guess I feel the meaning of the word Satya is more complex than just 'truth'. So my questions are: 1. how does 'Satya' translate from Sanskrit to English? 2. how does 'truth' translate from Sanskrit to English? 3. in Sanskrit, are these two words directly interchangable? Thanks so much in advance, Marie |
