One like Sofaya ( the letter i sounding like the letter 'a' in which case, it is written as सोफया The other pronunciation is like Sofia ( the letter 'i' is pronounced as the sound of 'i' in the word 'it') In that case it is written as सोफिया. you may choose the correct one depending on the right pronunciation |

I am looking for the original Sanskrit wording of the Bhagavad Gita passage that is loosely translated as the following...
But, If one deals with objects of the sense Not loving and not hating, making them Serve his free soul, which rests serenely lord, Lo! such a man comes to tranquility; And out of that tranquility shall rise The end and healing of all his earthly pains, Since the will governed sets the soul at peace. If you have a better/more proper translation I would appreciate that as well... Sorry for the length of the passage but it is something that has become very special to me. Thanks in advance, Jon edit: The passage is close to the end of the second chapter of the Gita. Hope this helps. Last edited by fyreborn234; 06-21-2008 at 04:01 AM. |

Hello, I was wondering if you could translate the phrase "Imperfection is Beauty" into sanskrit. If at all possible can it be written vertically in this language because that's how I want my tattoo to be written.
Thank you very much! |
