I know this thread is really old, but I'm doing this same assignment in my Latin II class. The text I need to translate is:

Post mortem Romuli, Numa Pompilius, vir iustissimus, concordia omnium rex factus est. Is iure et legibus urbem novam firmavit (strengthened) et annum pro tempore lunae (of the moon) in duodecim menses dividit. Itaque illi duo reges, Romulus bello, Numa pace, civitatem auxerunt.

Nunc Tullus Hostilius rex creatus est. Hic fuit ferocior (more fierce) etiam quam (than) Romulus, et bellum cum Albanis petivit. Post Romani Albanos vicerunt, civitas Romana eis data est et duces Albanorum patres (patricians) facti sunt.

Ancus Marcius erat proximus (next) rex Romanorum. Post bellum cum Latinis, Ancus Marcius cives Romam traduxit. Imperium etiam ad mare extendit, et Ostiam, portum Romae, in ore (shore)Tiberis condidit (ita litterae dicunt).

So far, I have:
After the death of Romulus, Numa Pompilius, a most just man, was king of all harmony. He strengthened the new city with laws and justice and divided the year into months by the time of the moon. And so those two kings, Romulus by war, Numa by peace, helped the state.

Now, Tullus Hostilius is made king. He was even more fierce than Romulus, and sought war with Albany

I'm stuck on this sentence:

Post Romani Albanos vicerunt, civitas Romana eis data est et duces Albanorum patres (patricians) facti sunt.

I get the gist of it, but can't make it into a comprehensible English sentence. What I have is "After Rome conquered Albany," and then something about the state being given to Rome and...I'm not sure what the phrase facti sunt means - can anyone help me?

You made a nice job for your first sentences, just a few minor mistakes have to be corrected.

Concordia omnium is the agent of factus est : "was made king by the assentiment of all".

Auxerunt is the active perfect of the verb augeo, is, ere, auxi, auctum and means "increased".

As for your third sentence, post is an adverb ( the conjonction of coordination is postquam ), so the clauses dependent on vicerunt, data est and facti sunt are independant ones, juxtaposed.

Civitatem doesn't mean "state" but "citizenship" and eis refers to the Albanians.

To understand better, you have to know that Rome, at that time, after conquering new tribes, was used to giving them the Roman citizenship.
