A couple of sentences for a tattoo
Hi all!
So I'm planning to get a few small sentences tattooed on me, but I need them translated into Latin first. 1. Our flaws are what make us human or Our flaws make us what we are or something that has the same/similar meaning. The point matters. 2. It gets better after difficulties, and again, the point matters. It can be something similar, doesn't have to be translated directly. I'd be very thankful!

Thanks a lot, mcmg!
If anyone has anything to add or correct to the above sentences by mcmg, then please do so. I want to make sure they're 100% correct before I get inked. I found a phrase, Dulcius Ex Asperis, which supposedly translates to "sweeter after difficulties" - is that basically the same? Is it even correct? EDIT: If anyone has time, I'd also like to have "I love and I hate" translated.

Thanks again, seems like there are many possibilities...
I've still got this last one I'm trying to figure out, Scito te ipsum Nosce te ipsum Do both of these mean "know yourself"? Or are there some bigger differences? |
