Default Artificial Hymen: Joan of Arc Red

A century ago, when Chinese translated the name of Jeanne d'Arc into Hanzi, they decided not only to transliterate the sounds of her name, but deliberately picked up the words that matched her life. They finally chose the words Ø‘µÂ, pronunced as Zhen-De (similar to Jeanne d'Arc), which roughly means "chasteness, loyalty and virtue". All these are the best words to describe a woman in the old day.

Today, this name has inspired some manufacturer. Just read the news report about a new product sold in China. For around US$20, people can buy an artificial hymen now. Its name is "Joan of Arc Red".

I'm quite wondering how French see it. Regard it as a bad taste joke? feel it offensive? Or only "opps!" and then forget it after reading it?
