Praying to the porcelain god
Another of my favorite words; one I discovered yesterday in a book, and that I liked a lot. Let me use it in a sentence:
"What he did yesterday had not been smart. He regretted it as soon as he got up:
at 7amhe was on his hands & knees, praying to the porcelain god"
