I appreciate what you're saying but I think in system where the oil is now open to all international traders (not just Americans although I understand why thay have an advantage) and where the Iraqi's themselves get a fair exchange for the good it can't be called imperialsim. I fhte American's declared a monopoly on Iraqi oil or forced punitive exchange rates on the Iraqi's for their oil then I would agree with you but as it is I see a clear difference between, say, Americans in the Gulf and the British using India as a private market.
