In reference to the comment about english:
From what I have heard, people from mother languages in asian countries, English is a very hard language to learn. I have also heard it is moderatley hard for those in european mother languages.
I wouldn't say French is HARD, but I would say it is very difficult, when coming from english there is a natural trend to say words a certain way, which in French comes out wrong.
