Default Celebrating the Mid-Autumn Day!

Yesterday was Chinese traditional festival the Moon Festival, which is also known as "Mid-Autumn Day". In this festival, we Chinese will eat a special food, Yue4 Bing3 月饼, or moon cake, to celebrate the moon festival, the cake is made usually in compelte round, which is looking like a full moon, and during that night on the festival, a whole family will set table at their yards under bright moon, round of course, eat the cakes and gather a reunion to enjoy this golden autumn.

Yesterday it was!

And about your picture: it was surely a big moon cake! But maybe not the biggest, I have seen a really big mooncake in Zhengzhou, Henan several years ago, when thousands of local residents gathered around it to share the same cake for once.

I notice on the cake, there are several character, the vertical 中秋节(中秋節)Mid-Autumn Festival/Day
and the horizontal 重庆饭店(重慶飯店)Chongqing Hotel

Note* Chongqing is a municipality directly under the State.
