NIEPPE "The door to Flanders" ,
A city of around 7,700 inhabitants located in the heart of Flanders, NIEPPE is the easternmost community in the Dunkerque district.
NIEPPE is spread over more than 1,729 hectares and borders the communities of Nieuwkerke and Comines-Warneton in the kingdom of Belgium as well as the French communities of Bailleul, Steenwerck, Armentières et Erquinghem-Lys.
NIEPPE
is a city surrounded by the countryside, with the Lys, a tributary of the Escaut River, flowing down from the Artois hills along its southern border.
To the northwest, it presents a panoramic view of the hills of Flanders: Kemmel, SpielBerg, Mont noir, Mont rouge, Mont des cats.
