Talking about relationship between Trukish language and Arabic language, I can tell you the first one takes much of the second one! Many words are common between the two languages, but with different styles and spellings..Anyway, we write with the Arabic alphabet, while Turkish is written with Latin alphabet with extra special letters.
I also, most of the same, think that any Muslim should speak Arabic in order to understand well the Quran, but unfortunately not all muslim nations speak Arabic..
For myself, I would say that I am Arab by language, but I am Berber by ethny!

It's said there that the origins of the language are unknown, but one thing is sure, the original population of North Africa are Berber, whether they are now Arab or Berber.
