In Moroccan, population speaks both Arabic and Berber, depending on which region they live in or come from..
But for French, it's because we are under French colonisation for many years, and when we got our independance, French touches were still there everywhere (It was Spanish Influence in the north)..So now, we are kinda a bilingual country, taking in consideration Standard Arabic and French as official languages in most administrations.
We start studying French since our 3rd year at school (from 2n year now with the new programme), and that explains why most Moroccan people speak French fluently.
In my region, Spanish isn't that common..
