Maybe it is not objectively true, but from our, totally human, point of view, the one and only. We don't have any other reality. Yes, people are able to change, but individually, not as one species, altogether. People as a "mass" are more like a one organism. If this organism is quite well in it's "capitalistic" (I assume, we're talkin' about NOW) way of life, there is rather small probability of any changes. No "revolution" will change this cosy, effortless, and satisfyin' condition. People want simple things. Capitalism makes life simple... so... I believe you know what I mean...
