"Trade" means "give" in the meaning of giving someone something in your will or giving a gift to someone so forget about that word. The right translation for "never give up" is Numquam cede (if the command refers to one person.) If the command refers to more than one person, the so-called 2nd.person plural imperative, it is Numquam cedite.

Another correct phrase is Noli umquam cedere (or Nolite umquam cedere as a command to many people). Numquam cede = Never give up. Noli umquam cedere = Don't ever give up.

A third translation of never give up is Nil desperandum literally meaning don't despair or there is no cause for despair.

You will sure get your first phrase too but I must go to bed now so you will have to wait for an answer from me or, preferably, from someone else in this forum.
