comment dire en bon francais "come to nothing"? Ce qui me vient a l'esprit c'est "tomber a l'eau" mais c'est trop familier, il me faut qqch de plus soutenu; voila ma phrase a traduire:
"We pray and beg the Lord not to let our hopes and expectations come to nothing."
