Karim grew up in South London.He lived in the suburbs with estate's people . When he was a child, Karim and his friends were not used to their lessons, and have alwas prefered to fighting.The education was not an end itself.
Then during their adolescence, thechalf of them have left the school for to work.They were garage mechanic or manager.
While Karim keep on studing until faculty, he meet Eleanor and her crowd. But he left faculty to the detriment of his parents. In comparison with his new friends, he had not got a lot of knowledge about art languages...and when it was compared to the people like Eleanor he felt down hearted because he saw that he knew nothing that Eleanor's crowd wroted books whereas Karim prefered to have fun with his friends sung "I am a walrus". He was in admiration and he had envy to be like them.
He which criticized these priviliged childrens envied them now.
Even if he was anger against them, he wanted to be like them. He always has will to have this easiness for to express oneself.
He was a commuter with an accent typically of the suburbs. He had shame and furious. He decide to sever all links withs his past when Eleanor said hethat his accent was cute.
