je te suggère quelques alternatifs :
"......I finally went to the match that I spoke to you about..."(...au match dont je t'avais parlé...)
"...I finally went to the match that a spoke to you about...." (si "a" est une personne...au match dont t'avais parlé a )
"....I finally went to the match that you spoke about..."(au match dont tu avais parlé...)
Je pense que c'est plutôt la première version....
