Hello,
For the time being, the monotype you sent me is in my study. I can imagine the noise these red-winged blackbirds are making across the room. Thank you ever so much. David and I will frame it by the end of the week.
Presently I spend much of the time exchanging with the social sciences student through the Internet. It's done in a very technical and 'psy' jargon. She copes very well with it and doesn't panic as she used to at the beginning of the year. I intend to go and meet her in Paris and work with her next month. She is charming.
Unfortunately I keep going to the mechanic's. Let me explain: every two years our cars have to be checked up. 125 points have to be inspected. The most serious defects concerning the brakes, the lights and exhaust gases lead to a compulsory counter-inspection to be done within two months after the repairs have been done.
Our car is 16 years old with a low mileage but, for the first time this year, we are obliged to have a big repair made so that the test can be approved. Yesterday I was at the garage, today I'm driving the car to the counter-inspection and I wish everything is OK tonight.
I'm no garage nor mechanics 'fan'. Meanwhile, don't you worry, I keep going out and exercising a little. Besides I look forward to go to the gym club tonight.
I still don't know how I can thank you for the painting. It's beautiful and I gaze at it every day. I'm still very touched.
Love,
Marie.
