Hey, I just stumbled across this forum and it looks as good a place as I havwe found so far to ask my question.

I'm from the UK and I'm trying to find out a couple of things about my Ukrainian surname,

First off. Is it a common name? (I appreciate this is more difficult to answer).
Most importantly, what (if anything) does it mean?

The name is: BASIUK
