I can make a suggestion. There is another online forum where you can speak to people that actually live in places like Madrid and other large cities in Spain. They can tell you the cost of living, safe areas, etc. I speak with them to learn the true proper/formal Spanish. Our Spanish here in the US is just common and not the real thing. Sad but true. We were fortunate in High School that our teacher talk us the Spanish of Espana not Mexico. Try
