Anyone can do great living and working in the US. Just like any other place it is all what you make of it.
I live in south Texas in a big metropolis and we offer some of the most affordable living there is in the US. This is a fine place to work and live and especially raise a family. Cosy of living is good unlike other states like New York or California, those are just ridiculous as far as cost of living. Not only that, they are too over crowded to live peacefully in.
Come visit Texas one day and see how beautiful and friendly we can be.
